The money raised by FoSMPS goes to funding so many activities from short term spend to long term capital projects. All of these enrich the lives of the children at St Matthews.
In 2022 FoSMPS funded a new shelter for the school meadow. The shelter protects from the rain and sun during Forest School sessions and outdoor lessons.
OPAL resources shed
In 2022 FoSMPS funded a new building for the storage of OPAL resources to allow easy access for the children to choose play items.
In 2022 FoSMPS funded sand and provided volunteers to move it into the wonderful new OPAL ( outdoor play and learning) sandpit.
In 2021 during the COVID lockdown FoSMPS funded 50 Chromebooks to help children learn remotely. These are now used in school to support classroom learning.
Each year we support the class teachers with a class float allowing them to pay for small rewards, materials, stickers and even tissues

FoSMPS contribute to a party to give our Year 6 Leavers a memorable night before they leave the school
Sometimes the small things make a difference. In 2022 FoSMPs funded ice lollies for one of the hottest sports days in recent history!
In 2021 FoSMPS funded over £600 of books for the school library whilst involving children in a reading challenge.
In 2021 and 2022 Covid restrictions made seeing live performances impossible so FoSMPS funded an online Panto to ensure the children did not miss out including those isolating at home
